2017 – 2018 AIARE Colorado Avalanche Course Schedule Announced

We are happy to announce our 2017 – 2018 AIARE Colorado Avalanche Course Schedule for Level 1 avalanche education, level 2 avalanche education, and companion rescue. Our goal is to transcend lives through adventure education and open up Colorado’s mountain gems to you 360+ days as year.

Colorado Wilderness Rides And Guides, a Rocky Mountain National Park Concessionaire and permitted outfitter in Roosevelt and White River National Forest, sets the bar for professional avalanche education in and around Colorado’s Front Range Mountains with professional mountain guide educators (AMGA educated/or certified) and intimate knowledge of Colorado’s mountains.

We offer three recreational courses: AIARE Level 1, AIARE level 2, and Companion Rescue in 2017 – 2018. 

Level 1 Course Dates And Times: 

  • 1. November 30 – December 3, 2017; 
  • 2. December 7 – 10, 2017, 
  • 3. December 14 – 17, 2017, 
  • 4. December 21 – 24, 2017, 
  • 5. January 11 – 14, 2018, 
  • 6. February 8 – 11, 2018, 
  • 7. March 8 – 11, 2018. 
  • Note: All course fill up, so register early. Note: Indoor classes are held Thursday, and Friday, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. in Boulder. Field days, which are either in Rocky Mountain National Park or Roosevelt National Forest, are Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Rate: $455 per participant. Please note: Refer a friend who registers and receive a $25 credit for each referral for the course.

Level 2 Dates and Times: 

  • 1. January 25th – 28th, 2018 
  • 2. March 16th – 19th, 2018. 
  • Times: 8 am – 6 pm. Rate: $510 per participant. Please note: Refer a friend who registers and receive a $25 credit for each referral for the course.

Companion Rescue Dates And Times: (Friday) 

  • 1. December 8, 2017, 
  • 2. December 15, 2017, 
  • 3. January 12, 2018, 
  • 4. February 9, 2018, and 
  • 5. March 9, 2018. 
  • Times: 8 am – 4 pm. Rate: $200 per participant. Please note: Refer a friend who registers and receive a $25 credit for each referral for the course.
