Half Day Fly Fishing

One of the advantages of being in Boulder is having the access to world-class Colorado fly-fishing near Denver. Join Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides for a thrilling half-day fly-fishing experience in beautiful Boulder, Colorado as we fish some of Colorado’s most iconic streams, rivers, and lakes, under spectacular mountain scenery. Our half-day fly fishing trips and vacations are the best way to learn beginner fly fishing in a fun and relaxed environment, while still enjoying the proximity to the city and the opportunity to move between a variety of environments including local creeks and ponds across a multitude of state parks, open spaces, and mountain environments for the best guided fly fishing trips in Colorado.

We utilize local fly fishing Colorado guides, who know the waterways intimately well, and have knowledge of the best hatch times, techniques and use of tackle to maximize success. We’ll also work on proper casting technique, and cast from the shore and in the water. We’ll provide the gear including rods, waders, booties, and tackle, and time your visit with the best conditions so that we’re maximizing our chance of success each time we’re fly fishing Boulder Colorado.

After your half-day Boulder fly-fishing experience, consider joining us for another fly fishing vacation package, Colorado River float trip, rocky mountain national park fishing, or join us for a half day activity such as sightseeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, or hiking to live out an exciting Colorado adventure.

Half Day Fly Fishing Rates

$165 per person.

We have different rates based on the number of guests.

$165 per person based on three guests; $215 per person based on two guests, and $365 for one person. We take single clients out fishing all of the time!

What’s Included

Included: The services of a professional fishing guide, round-trip transportation between your Boulder hotel or our office and the fishing location, terminal tackle and equipment (Including flies, rod, reel, and booties/waders), bottled water and snacks (lunch is also included during full-day trips), and education about the local and natural history (including a library of Rocky Mountain flora and fauna).

Not included in our rates: Gratuities for your guide (while it is up to your discretion, the recommended gratuity is 15-20%), Colorado fishing license ($9 per day) or rod fee for private waters. We will secure private waters based on request, but for CO fishing license we will send a link to register online.
