Hiking & Peak Ascents Overview

Longing to truly experience the Front Range?  Our guided Colorado hiking and peak ascents will provide you with an unforgettable getaway and stunning views. Whether you have two hours or one week, we have amazing guided hiking trips to expose you and your group to the unique ‘hidden gems’ in Colorado’s Front Range Mountains. Come get an experience and education that is truly one of a kind!

We designed our guided hiking service for groups or individuals who want to explore the wilderness with the knowledge and expertise of a private guide. Our guides, trained in wilderness education and safety, provide a more in-depth understanding of the geography, history, wildlife and vegetation of the local area. We will plan an itinerary that meets your group’s goals and objectives. We have a multitude of different hikes and locations in Boulder, Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Indian Peaks and James Peak Wildernesses from which to choose including the iconic Longs Peak. Whether your focus is on wildlife viewing, majestic vistas, or geology, we can design a trip that meets your needs. We will create a plan based upon your group’s time requirements, physical fitness level, and desired level of exertion or challenge.

Our Colorado guided hiking and peak ascents allow for increased education and dialogue about the area including Boulder, Denver, and Estes Park. Our guides also provide an additional level of safe travel and knowledge in injury prevention and avoiding altitude sickness. Our guides reduce the many risks that can be associated with mountain travel, such as misinterpreting terrain and weather and/or losing one’s bearings. Colorado is known for weather that changes quickly and dramatically. Being lost in a thunderstorm or summer snowstorm can pose a real danger and certainly isn’t much fun.

Our Epic Trips were designed in response to guest requests for unique hiking tours, backpacking trips and peak ascents in and around Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. These trips are sure to give you an amazing and challenging, yet thoroughly enjoyable experiences above tree line in the high Rocky Mountains. Each Colorado tour offers a great blend of challenging elevation gains, long-distance hiking, and spectacular scenery. Most tours require a shuttle between the starting and ending locations and involve logistical coordination difficult to arrange on one’s own.

Superhuman Days are specifically designed for those that want to test their physical limits. We designed these tours from our intimate knowledge of Rocky Mountain National Park and are the only outfitter in Colorado that offers these extended day excursions. Superhuman days start before dawn, involve tremendous elevation gains, and significant mileage. But along with the challenges, they include the exhilaration of multiple peak ascents and leave you with a sense of true accomplishment.

Both the Epic Trips and Superhuman Days work best for small groups (2-12 people) and those up for the ultimate Colorado experience. For college teams and professional athletes, these trips can serve as a perfect team building experience and/or altitude training. Within a 1-2-hour drive from Boulder and Denver, Epic Trips and Superhuman Days are guaranteed to provide a wilderness adventure worth the effort!

Testimonials

You did a great job of balancing risk-taking and safety.  I was glad that we were able to get up on the divide three different times given all the lightning storms we had to work around throughout the week.  You worked hard for us and we want you to know that we appreciate all the great memories that we created together.

“I think that the 3rd and 4th days we spent hiking in CO with you were the most helpful in being successful on summiting Kilimanjaro. Our 3rd day (Flat Top Mt.) was a pretty steep day and the 4th day (Lawn Lake) was a pretty long day up and back down. I think I really enjoyed both, and they were a good chance for me to test my gear on a steep climb and over the course of a long day (and just make sure I could do that extent of hiking.) Obviously Kili was more difficult but all of my physical … Read more

Excellent customer service. I needed to reschedule an AVY 1 class twice due to injuries and they were incredibly flexible and understanding and made the extra effort to make sure we could work out the best possible outcome for my situation. First class service
