Winter Fly Fishing on the Upper Colorado River – Explore The River With Fewer Crowds

The Upper Colorado River is one of the few rivers in Colorado that stay consistent all year round with some of the best fly fishing in Colorado. The winter is a time that few dare head up on the river, but once the crowds disperse, that’s when it’s a great time to be out exploring the river. With lower water and less crowds we’ll have more access to areas that are usually blown out in the early spring and summer, and we have more options in where we want to fish as we go looking for trout species that are native only to Colorado. When we talk about secluded Colorado fly-fishing, this is some of the best. Check our our winter fly fishing trips.
