Description
With Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides, our goal is to realize your wildest dreams and aspirations. That’s why we provide custom outdoor adventures. Because our Custom Outdoor Adventures are always private, your group can social distance in the beautiful Rocky Mountains safely and enjoyably. We want to get you ready for that big peak, fish that wild river, bike that epic downhill, and do it with all the confidence in the world. Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides is more than a guiding company. We are also your mentors and teachers. We want to see you succeed on whatever project you’re working on, and with our custom Colorado adventures and experiences based around your desires and specifications as our guests, we’re ready to hear and meet your needs. Custom outdoor adventures start with a simple conversation with our local office staff and guides, where we’ll take note of your desires and your ambitions and come up with a solution or itinerary that works best for you. Our highly experienced local guides bring a wealth of information based on years of first-hand experience and their travels around the world. Colorado Wilderness Rides And Guides will outfit you with the gear, the knowledge, and the logistics to make your dream happen. Colorado’s wild and diverse landscape, from the high alpine scenery of the Rockies, to the arid desert of the Western Slope lends itself to a variety of opportunities and thrilling excursions.
Our backyard, Boulder, Colorado is known as an outdoor mecca, having bred generations of mountaineers, adventurers, climbers, skiers, Olympic and endurance athletes. Boulders’ unique landscape makes it the perfect arena for brushing up on wilderness skills such as navigation, survival, and travel technique. Our goal is to use the knowledge of the land to create unique scenarios that are specific to your overall objective. Together we can help you create your own custom outdoor adventures.
We’re also here to work on your technical skills. Are you looking to improve your fly casting technique? Do you want to learn how to repair a bike on the fly? We’ll work with you to improve your specific skill-set. We want to know how best we can contribute to your success.
One advantage we have over other adventure companies is that we hold over 14 unique land-manager permits in Colorado including City, County, and State Parks, Bureau of Land Management, and National Forest Service, as well as permits in Utah. We are also permitted to run float fly fishing and rafting on the Upper Colorado River, and in 2016, we are proud to be a concessionaire for Rocky Mountain National Park, allowing us to guide technical climbing, mountaineering, ski mountaineering, and technical education courses. We are also permitted to guide fly fishing, backpacking, photo tours, sightseeing, and bike tours throughout the park. This allows us to choose from many different areas to make sure we can create the perfect experience for our clients. Whether you want to explore a ½ day wild-flower hike, a one-day trip on our private plane to fish the Yellowstone River, or a week-long backpacking adventure along the continental divide trail, we can create your memorable adventure!
