Description

Explore Colorado’s frontier spirit with a tour of two twin mountain towns: Boulder and Nederland. Separated by the spectacular Boulder Canyon, Boulder and Nederland are the gateway to the Front Range, and a look into Colorado’s rustic past, with many of the same buildings, relics, and historical monuments still remaining. In Boulder we’ll discover the humble beginnings as a gold mining camp, which then became Colorado’s artistic mecca. We’ll discover the sights and colors of Pearl Street and drive past the majestic Flatirons before making our way into Boulder Canyon and driving up towards Nederland. Nederland, commonly known as ‘Ned’ between locals was a trading post between Ute Indians and European settlers. Today it’s one of Colorado’s favorite mountain towns, set on the edge of the Indian Peaks Wilderness with breathtaking scenery rising all around. Our guides will tell you about the history, culture, and geography of this quirky and fascinating little town.
