Join our three-day backcountry skiing program in Rocky Mountain National Park and explore new terrain beyond the resort. Our program covers essential skills such as backcountry ski equipment, clothing systems, kick turns, hotspot/blister prevention and foot care, ski tour planning, and quick and efficient transitions. You’ll learn how to read and gather information for planning a safe and enjoyable tour while immersing yourself in the natural history and ecology of this iconic national park. Included in our rates: The services of a professional ski guide.
Not included in our rates: Park entrance fees, which are $10 per person daily for Eldorado Canyon State Park and $10 per person daily for Rocky Mountain National Park. Entrance fees are paid directly to the Parks upon entrance, gratuities for your guide are also not included (while the amount is at your discretion, the recommended gratuity is 20%).
Difficulty Description: Moderate, beginner level ski touring course
What to Bring: Food and water for the day, personal ski gear, beacon, probe & shovel.
Meeting Location: Meet at climbing location or at Trailhead
Prerequisites: Skiing experience and avalanche training
