Climb: Spearhead North Ridge (long)Call to Book Sold Out
This is a great climb for those who are getting introduced to more technical alpine climbing and want to climb one the most classic routes in the park.
This easy route following the blocky North Ridge up the Spearhead with fantastic face climbing, dihedrals and cracks up to 5.6. Set at the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park, the North Ridge of the Spearhead looks out at the backside of Longs Peak and follows a long, exposed ridge to a dramatic pointed summit. This is a great climb for those who are getting introduced to more technical alpine climbing and want to climb one the most classic routes in the park.
Price: $525 for the first person, and $200.00 for each additional member.
A gear list will be sent upon confirmation of course registration, and we’re happy to help arrange for personal gear if you do not have it.
Itinerary: We depart and end from your hotel or a central meeting spot, while driving 40-60 minutes each way to and from a trailhead or climbing site. While driving, we will cover vital safety and climbing considerations. After arriving at trailhead, we will confirm all safety and personal climbing equipment (shoes, harness, helmets, belay devises, and more). Normally it is a 3 -4 hour hike to the climb. We then head off for 6-8 hours of great climbing. At the completion, we will rejoice in our memorable experience together.
Included in our rates: The services of a professional rock climbing guide, any rock climbing equipment (helmet, harnesses, shoes, belay devises), round-trip transportation from your Boulder hotel or our office, snacks and breakfast and lunch, and education about local and natural history (including library of Rocky Mountain flora and fauna).
Not included in our rates: Park entrance fees, which are $10 per person daily for Eldorado Canyon State Park and $10 per person daily for Rocky Mountain National Park. Entrance fees are paid directly to the Parks upon entrance, gratuities for your guide are also not included (while the amount is at your discretion, the recommended gratuity is 20%).
