The Third Flatiron is one of the most classic routes in Boulder and once declared as the best beginner climb in the solar system. It was the site of the earliest recorded rock climb in Colorado with the ascent of the east face in 1906. With it’s blocky holds, dazzling exposure, and fun, easy climbing, the Third Flatiron tops out at 5.4, with 8-pitches of fun and cruising climbing. The view from the summit of the Third Flatiron is among one of the best in Colorado.
