Description: Boulder is one of the most photogenic cities in America, surrounded by the iconic Flatirons, majestic snow-capped mountains, historical 20th century architecture, and a host of colorful characters. This tour is for those who want to improve their urban and natural photography skills. We’ll explore Boulder’s scenic points and our expert guides will help you improve your technique in color, exposure, and angle, as we see the best of Boulder’s landscape.

Itinerary: We’ll start in vibrant and colorful downtown Boulder, with it’s brick architecture, historic theater and hotels, and exciting life, set in a backdrop of mountains, hills, and the Flatirons. Afterwards we’ll drive through Chautauqua Park with it’s dazzling mountain view and up Flagstaff Road, one of the highest vantage points in Boulder, where we’ll be able to overlook Boulder and Denver. Along the way we’ll learn about photography technique and work on skills.

Not included in our rates: Eldorado Canyon State Park entrance fees, which are $10 per person per week and are payable directly to the park upon entrance (for any tours in Eldorado Canyon SP); and gratuities for your guide (the amount is at your discretion, but the recommended gratuity is 15-20%). Note: groups of 6 or more are charged a 20% service charge (guide gratuity).

Special Notes: Clients are expected to bring own camera gear. Our goal is to help educate our guests on their own equipment. We can arrange special camera, lenses, or photography equipment for an additional charge. Each day is based on guest educational and photography goals.

Our 3rd day (Flat Top Mt.) was a pretty steep day and the 4th day (Lawn Lake) was a pretty long day up and back down. I think I really enjoyed both, and they were a good chance for me to test my gear on a steep climb and over the course of a long day (and just make sure I could do that extent of hiking.) Obviously Kili was more difficult but all of my physical …

Excellent customer service. I needed to reschedule an AVY 1 class twice due to injuries and they were incredibly flexible and understanding and made the extra effort to make sure we could work out the best possible outcome for my situation. First class service

You did a great job of balancing risk-taking and safety.  I was glad that we were able to get up on the divide three different times given all the lightning storms we had to work around throughout the week.  You worked hard for us and we want you to know that we appreciate all the great memories that we created together.
